The Bible does not command or say Christians should tithe in any form. Tithing was a Jewish ceremonial ritual involving animal sacrifices.
Tithing became obsolete along with the rest of the Mosaic Law after the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus the Christ.
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it was written Cursed is everyone who hangeth on a tree (Galatians 3:13, KJV).
Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin (Hebrews 10:18, KJV).
In that he saith, a new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away (Hebrews 8:13, KJV).
In other words, Mosaic Law tithing was replaced with New Testament giving.
